Small World Workshop

Information & Pricing

Enter the magic that is small world play. Children engage with small, loose parts to create miniature worlds of their own. Guided by their teacher and their own creativity, our small world play workshoppers create set-ups that transport them to whimsical worlds where imagination and learning meet in a playful and fun way. This group also engages with hands-on experiences such as potion making and sensory play.

Children can develop storylines, characters, and places that are made up, or real life reenactments. There are so many benefits and joys to small world play including:

Language skill support and development through the use of vocabulary building and expressive language.

Encouragement of problem solving real-life situations. Development of creativity and imagination.

A safe space for children to explore their own experiences, act them out, and use their background knowledge to draw conclusions.

Learn how cause and effect work as they experiment with different actions and what those outcomes might be.

Develop STEAM skills as they build and create.

Cooperative play and learning with peers.
