As children grow to discover more about themselves and the world around them, Folksy is here with a new offering just for them: an intimate program with their peers that incorporates the essence of the Folksy Foundations and their own personal interests within their academic needs.

The Folksy House will be like a second home as children learn what it really means to practice community stewardship. Together with their friends, they will prepare food from scratch, build math and literacy skills, find rest in intentionally spaced “brain breaks” for unstructured imaginative play, and dedicate time to mastering of one of four foundations: Handwork, Lost Skills, Painting & Artistic Expression, and Storytelling & Drama. Learning at The Folksy House is a collaborative process where children have access to the tools and mentorship they need not only to build confidence and proficiency in practical skills, but to be inspired to keep discovering new things.

Let's chat! The first step is to come in for one of our Open Houses. Take a tour of the house, engage in a planned activity, and visit our forest school site. Tea will be served and our directors and teachers will be there to answer any questions you bring.
