The Folksy House

Are you looking for an educational approach that considers the whole child — mind, body, and heart?
Folksy is here.

The Folksy House is designed to radiate the warmth of home, away from home. Children are met with kindness and a well-balanced daily rhythm that incorporates imaginative play alongside mastery of practical skills in a space that is curated for their specific needs. Children of all ages learn what it means to be good community stewards who care for and support one another. Together, they enjoy baking bread and preparing nourishing snacks from scratch in our collaborative kitchen, contributing to the community garden, painting and drawing, and developing handwork skills.

Our Folksy in the Forest space provides an all-seasons, nature-immersive learning environment. In this outdoor classroom run by certified Forest School instructors, knowledge relates holistically to experience,  movement stimulates discussion and collaboration, and nature study naturally leads into new areas of inquiry and discovery. Folksy pulls from some of the greatest minds in childhood education — Waldorf, Montessori, and Reggio-Emilia philosophies, to name a few — to create a truly unique and magical program.
