Gnomes
& Songbirds
ages 6 through 10

Information & Pricing

Starting at age 6, Folksy is a fully integrated program that incorporates both The Folksy House and Folksy in the Forest into a full-day rhythm two days a week, with a nourishing farm to table family-style lunch provided.

The cozy environment of The Folksy House involves scratch cooking in a community kitchen, a Montessori-inspired literacy flow, intentionally spaced “brain breaks” for unstructured imaginative play, and a dedicated block of time set aside for mastery of one of four foundations: Handwork, Lost Skills, Painting & Artistic Expression, and Storytelling & Drama. Learning at The Folksy House is a collaborative process where children have access to the tools and mentorship they need not only to build confidence and proficiency in practical skills, but to be inspired to keep discovering new things.

The Folksy in the Forest space offers an immersive outdoor learning experience. Certified Forest School instructors lead a “W.I.L.D. Discovery,” which sparks critical thinking and collaborative play in an emergent learning environment. Wild math, science, and history are explored alongside nature study, not as individual and abstract subjects but as interrelated areas of study with real-life application. Research shows that learning outside encourages critical thinking, enhances focus, fosters resilience, supports informed risk management, builds confidence, and exercises effective problem-solving skills. In the outdoors, Folksy kids are inspired to test the limits or their abilities while they learn to collaborate with others through play.

A full day at Folksy is an adventure that inspires the head, hands, and heart!
