Young Naturalists Club
6-Week Workshop Series
8-12 Years Old
An Exploration of Author Byrd Baylor $175
Byrd Baylor was an American activist, novelist, essayist and children’s book author made popular by books such as “The Way to Start a Day” and “Everybody Needs a Rock.” She often wrote about the deep connection between the land and the people, often inspired by her appreciation for the southwest. In this workshop we’ll take a look at her work through its text and poetry, experience exercises that allow us to connect with our own nature-driven transcendence, and create our own original art based on Baylor’s style and coloring.
