FOLKSY IN THE FOREST
An all-seasons, nature-immersive learning environment. Kindergarten-level math and literacy are explored through observation of the natural world, not as individual and abstract subjects but as integrated learning opportunities with real-life application. Research shows that learning outside encourages critical thinking, enhances focus, fosters resilience, supports informed risk management, builds confidence, and exercises effective problem-solving skills. In the outdoors, Folksy kids are inspired to test the limits or their abilities while they learn to collaborate with others through imaginative play.

AT THE FOLKSY HOUSE
Preserve the innocence and wonder of children with a curriculum that is dedicated to holistic early childhood education. Our Folksy Toadstools spend time outdoors in all weather, engaging in child-led nature play. Inside the Folksy House they’ll experience art, baking, storytelling, handwork, movement, and pre-academic learning through Montessori shelf work.

A whole-heart experience for your child. Children can participate in both of these programs for a full five-day adventure that integrates all the magic of The Folksy House (on M-W-F) with the wonder of Folksy in the Forest (on T - TH). What an abundance of childhood memories to be made!

Each day’s rhythm involves scratch-cooking in a community kitchen, nature-based play, and a foundations flow that is crafted to inspire each child’s head, hands, and heart. Through a holistic balance of open-ended play and consistent, intentional collaboration through practical skills, children are empowered to explore their worlds with confidence.
