Fridays in the Forest
ages 6 through 12

Our nature-based program that gives children access to the outdoors throughout all four seasons. Research shows that outdoor learning encourages critical thinking, resilience, supportive risk-assessment, and problem solving.

Math, literacy and science are explored through observation of the natural world, not as individual and abstract subjects but as integrated learning opportunities with real-life application. Research shows that learning outside encourages critical thinking, enhances focus, fosters resilience, supports informed risk management, builds confidence, and exercises effective problem-solving skills. In the outdoors, Folksy kids are inspired to test the limits or their abilities while they learn to collaborate with others through imaginative play.

Let's chat! The first step is to come in for one of our Open Houses. Take a tour of the house, engage in a planned activity, and visit our forest school site. Tea will be served and our directors and teachers will be there to answer any questions you bring.
